Abstract :
So far, computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) has not produced the desired results, especially in manufacturing systems with Job-Shop configuration. The problem lies, basically, in the automation and integration of shop floor control. In this paper we analyse this problem and describe the solutions appeared up to now. We also proposed a control system based on agents, as an alternative to traditional solutions.
