Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new face recognition algorithm based on improved Euclid norm. The method, compared with conventional algorithm, has an improved recognition rate for face images with large variation in lighting direction. Testing our system on Yale face database, the recognition rate is 98.8%, which proves the face recognition algorithm is efficient.
