Abstract :
A spatially adaptive fuzzy filter is presented that adopts a fuzzy logic approach for the restoration of images corrupted by impulse noise based on local spatial structure information. Simulation results show that the proposed filter provides better performance than many of the existing filters. In particular it can successfully preserve thin lines and other detail features.
