Abstract :
This paper presents the design and implementation of a planar boost inductor with structural winding capacitance cancellation. Compared to the conventional toroidal inductors, with the help of the proposed winding capacitance cancellation method and the easy implementation for planar windings, the planar boost inductor has much lower profile, much smaller losses and much better high-frequency characteristics
