Abstract
In order to overcome the shortcomings of the several flow control methods for integrative information transmission in substation, this paper makes a study on the scheme of concrete implementation based on differentiated services (DiffServ) network and quantitatively evaluates the performance of this scheme. This scheme of concrete implementation is proposed according to the analysis of the different transmission requirements of message traffics in substation. The network traffic models simulating the message traffic behavior are established. A network simulator evaluation is employed to verify the performance of the proposed scheme. Case study on a typical substation model indicates the validity and feasibility of the scheme proposed by showing promising simulation results.
