Abstract :
An electronic system for liquid xenon scintillation detector with an energy threshold below 1 keV was built combining commercially available and custom-made electronic modules. In particular, a low-cost charge sensitive pre-amplifier with the rise time adjustable between 2 and 5 ns and the noise of less than 1 fC was designed for PMT readout. The key features of the system are the following: low noise, high dynamic range (at least 1:103), good linearity, good time characteristics, flexibility and scalability. The performance of the whole system was tested in experiments with γ-rays and neutrons.
