Abstract
The results for the measurement of aligned magnetizing curves have been reported in order to assess the core losses in an SRM. This paper deals with the problems involved with the experimental measurement of the core losses and compares the experimental results with the results obtained with the software package PC-SRD and the finite element package Flux2D from Cedrat.
