Abstract :
Magnetic property calculations of the B2-CoxAl1-x structures at the interface of a Co/Al multilayer were carried out using ab initio calculations in an attempt to find the correlation between magnetic property of Co/CoAl/Co and corresponding deposition process. The magnetic moment of the B2-CoxAl1-x structure with below 50% Co substitution is virtually zero indicating a nonmagnetic behaviour of the corresponding composition, while for the structure with above 50% Co substitution, a substantial magnetic moment was observed.
