Abstract
In this study, the relationship between material properties of writer pole film and writer pole-yoke domain structure and pole erasure occurrence was investigated. Two kinds of sputtered FeCoZrO-(A) and FeCoZrO-(B) films have been tested for the writer pole. The writer pole used in this study has a width of 160 to 220 nm, and a thickness of 250 nm. Pole erasure was evaluated by using a spin-stand.
