Speed control with negative torque minimization in single phase SRM
Abstract :
This paper presents a speed control scheme using the negative torque minimization method. The simulation used was performed by PWM control at starting and single pulse control in high-speed operation. The proposed algorithm is easily implemented because of its small calculation by using the look-up tabled coefficient K for the control of dwell angle according to the speed reference and load torque. MATLAB simulation was performed for the verification of the proposed algorithm resulting in a better performance than the conventional PI control in high-speed operation.
