Abstract :
In this paper, magnetic reversal field map combined with medium noise image is proposed to analyze the origin of medium noise in perpendicular recording media. The magnetization reversal field map and medium noise have been studied at the same position in CoCrPt granular recording media. The magnetic reversal field map combined with medium noise image shows that the distortion of bit boundary and magnetization reversal in bit are strongly related to a low reversal field (Hr) area in media.
