Abstract
Dynamic magnetoelastic properties of a [112]-oriented composites fabricated using 49 volume-percent needle-shaped and 51 volume-percent irregular-shaped, ball-milled Terfenol-D particles were investigated as a function of magnetic bias field. It was found out that particulate crystallographic orientation strongly influences the dynamic magnetoelastic properties of magnetorestrictive particulate composites.
