Abstract :
A 200Ms/s A/D-converter with 8 bit resolution and 3.3V supply is presented. It performs differential conversion by means of multiple, non-uniform differential input adapters. Thanks to 4x current mode interpolation, using transconductors instead of current mirrors and to a novel BiCMOS latched comparator, the power consumption is below 550mW, with an active chip area of only 13.5mm2.
