Abstract :
A flexible datapath generator for the physical oriented design of optimized building blocks in the area of DSP ASIC design is presented. The generator concept combines the advantages of full-custom macros regarding power dissipation, silicon area, and throughput rate with a low design effort and high flexibility. Hence, the datapath generator enables the physical oriented design of parameterizable IP blocks. Industry related benchmarks demonstrate the performance of the datapath generator.
