Abstract :
A balanced combined LNA and switching mixer (low-noise converter or LNC) with 20 dB RF-to-IF gain, +18 dBm OIP3and 3.8 DSB NF is achieved by applying a dual-loop wideband cross-coupled feedback. The circuit is implemented in 25 GHz silicon bipolar technology and consumes 11 mA DC current from 3V voltage-supply. The circuit works from 800MHz to higher than 2.5GHz which might be suitable for area-efficient multi-band multi-standard receivers.
