  • Abstract
Induction furnace with cold crucible is used as tool for scientific investigations of high temperature melts properties, in particular, electrical resistivity. The methodology uses operating parameters processing of induction system by means of electromagnetic mathematical model. Definition of the resistivity is based on inverse problem techniques. Suggested approach allows to estimate of melt resistivity of technical materials in vacuum, inert and air environments at wide temperature rate. Resistivity of the aluminium oxide melt was investigated and some results are presented.
