Abstract :
Implementation of a continuous knowledge discovery has been attracting more and more interests from various industries. A novel process model and architecture for knowledge discovery is proposed in evolving environment. Some task schedules are generated at first, mining process is split into session mining and merge mining respectively. Finally, discovered rules are integrated with known knowledge. The architecture creates a communication mechanism to incorporate known knowledge into discovery process, through ontology service facility. The continuous mining is transparent to the end user; moreover, the architecture supports logical and physical data independence. Experiments with a prototype show that the architecture should be useful in guiding the continuous knowledge discovery incorporating ontological knowledge.
