Abstract
A robust sliding mode control with virtual state feedback is considered for neutral time-delay systems with external disturbance. A delay-independent sufficient condition is given for the design of stable sliding mode plane in term of linear matrix inequality (LMI). The corresponding control is designed to guarantee state trajectories from any initial state are attracted to the sliding mode plane in a finite time and remain there for all subsequent time. A numerical example with simulation results is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the methodology.
