Abstract :
In this paper, we derive a simple and tight close-form approximation for the ergodic capacity of SIMO, MISO, and orthogonalized MIMO channels. The expression is valid for any SNR range, any number of antennas and for a wide variety of fading channels including correlated and unbalanced Rayleigh and Ricean channels.
