Abstract :
A set partitioning method for sequentially modulated signals is proposed in this paper. The proposed set partitioning method is based on the concept of enlarging the number of symbols with nonzero Euclidean distance (Hamming distance) in the subset. The code is expanded over frequency domain and is applied to the OFDM system. In addition to develop the set partitioning method, it is also addressed that the peak envelope power of sequentially modulated OFDM signals applying the frequency interleaving, and it is shown that the peak envelope power of the signal with interleaving is identical to the one without interleaving. The performance of the system applying this code is evaluated under the effect of frequency selective fading channel.
