Abstract :
OFDM systems are very sensitive to the phase noise. The phase noise in OFDM has two side effects: common phase error (CPE) and intercarrier interference (ICI). Especially, the rotation of constellation caused by CPE may be fatal in coherent schemes. This paper suggests an equalizer coupled with a phase tracking algorithm to combat frequency selectivity and to correct CPE. Computer simulations prove that CPE can be reduced by the phase tracking loop with low complexity.
