Abstract
Subcarrier allocation with QoS support in orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) system is investigated in this work. A novel subcarrier allocation scheme called power controlled dynamic subcarrier allocation (PCDSA) is developed to allocate subcarriers according to the QoS requirement based on the appropriate power control and channel condition adaptation. The proposed scheme adjusts the power to guarantee the predefined delay requirement, which is one of the determinants of end-to-end delay. The simulation results conducted in the WSSUS channel show that proposed scheme could reduce the queuing delay and buffer requirements while achieving high utilization.
