Abstract :
In this paper, a blind channel estimator, which is based on linear non-redundant precoding and second-order statistics, is proposed for space time block (STBC) coded MIMO-OFDM systems. According to the complex orthogonal properties of the STBCs, the channel estimate with a scalar ambiguity can be obtained through a series of simple linear transformation. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can track the time-varying channel state well and thus improve the system performance when the number of the statistical data is properly chosen.
