Abstract :
In this paper, the effect of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) mismatch on the bit error rate (BER) performance of iterative linear detection in MIMO-OFDM systems based on high-order modulation is investigated. The effect of SNR mismatch on every iteration and different combinations of detecting and decoding schemes is studied in detail. Simulation shows that the performance of iterative linear detection is very sensitive to SNR mismatch regardless of SNR overestimation or underestimation. Furthermore, a simplified iterative linear detection is proposed, which is more insensitive to SNR mismatch nearly without loss of performance.
