Abstract :
The main research interest of this paper is to evaluate the performance degradation of the ultra-wideband correlation receiver in AWGN channel, while using imperfect rectangular template waveform instead of optimal template waveform. Through the theoretical analysis and numerical computation, it is presented that when applying rectangular template signal, there usually exists an optimal correlation time, and also, there is no obvious difference on the timing error sensitivity while comparing with the optimal template case.
