Abstract :
We demonstrate a bright, narrowband, polarized, single-mode, low-background source of correlated photon pairs in photonic crystal fibre, for quantum information applications. We detect 105 coincidences/s at wavelengths of 595 nm and 880 nm using silicon detectors.
