            Abstract : 
Novel 4×4 Hard-Polymer-Clad-Fiber (HPCF) splitter was fabricated with a low loss and uniform power splitting ratio. 1×4 PON transmission of 1.25/2.5 Gbps at 850 nm over 50 m of HPCF was successfully demonstrated.
