Abstract :
We report 1570-1620 nm amplification using phosphosilicate EDFAs, achieving record-low noise figure of ≤5.5 dB at 2 dBm input, 27% overall power conversion efficiency with gain flattening (64% highest erbium coil PCE), and 22 dBm of output power.
