Abstract :
Wide tuning over 120 nm and passive mode locking of a Ce3+-Er3+-ZBLAN fiber laser by a semiconductor saturable-absorber is described for the first time. A Q-switched mode-locked output was obtained with 400 MHz repetition rate.
