Abstract :
Mobile entertainment represents one of the few mobile services that have mass market potential to drive the adaptation of the next generation mobile devices. With the introduction of mobile IPv6, there is a huge potential for the wireless market to grow, in this scenario, users can have transparent access to any node or a set of selected nodes (peer group). A service can now be accessed by any member of the peer group. Consequently, the demand for a variety of value added services is growing and these services require group oriented services. Hence overlay network management support is becoming critical for service providers. In this paper, we consider both cellular and ad hoc wireless networks (MANET) and propose a unified network management infrastructure using network layer support.
