  • Abstract
The EMM of an AMC, reported in (S. A. Clavijo et al, IEEE Trans. Ant. Prop., vol.51, p.2678-2690, 2003), is implemented in FDTD, which allows us to demonstrate the validity of the model. This is done by verifying its surface wave bandwidth. With this model implemented in FDTD then the AMC can easily be treated as a material and its interactions with antennas and other materials can be modeled. Also, the effect of its finiteness can be easily assessed.
