Abstract
Increasing the prompt aperture efficiency and prompt response of impulse radiating antennas (IRA) has been one of the most important recent areas of study. In this paper the theory of altering the polarization of reflected fields is verified experimentally for reflector IRA. We explore using this strategy to alter the reflected fields from the specific case of a half-IRA (HIRA) with Zline = 98Ω feed arms at 45° from horizontal.
