Abstract
The ADI-FDTD method is an unconditionally stable method suitable for simulation of wave propagation and scattering problems involving fine geometries. An iterative scheme is presented to reduce the splitting error in the ADI-FDTD method. This scheme is based on recognizing ADI-FDTD as the first iteration for solving CN-FDTD with a general splitting method. The effectiveness of this scheme was illustrated by numerical examples
