  • Abstract
The recently introduced hybrid method combining the TD-MoM with the TD-GTD is enhanced by incorporation of the FDTD. Applying this new hybrid method antennas are modelled with the TD-MoM, small bodies in the nearness of the antennas are modelled with the FDTD and large objects in a relative large distance to the antennas are modelled with the TD-GTD. The antennas can be embedded into the FDTD-region or they can lie outside the FDTD-region; the latter avoids the simulation of white space between antennas and dielectric objects. If the antennas are positioned into the FDTD-region their discretization need not to be in agreement with the Yee lattice. The developed method allows time-domain simulation of problems including very different classes of objects, applying the respective appropriate numerical techniques.
