Abstract
This paper presents a slot-coupled rectangular dielectric resonator antenna. While the coupling slot is offset to near the middle between the center and the edge of the DRA, some novel characteristics, such as dual-band and electric monopole-like radiation patterns, occur. These theoretical and experimental results for reflection coefficient are matched well. Besides, measured antenna patterns are analyzed and discussed.
