Abstract
The phase probability density function (PDF) of the channel is analyzed considering the fading plus additive while Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, and the general closed-form expression is obtained under the von Mises/Tikhonov distribution, together with its simplification to some special channel. In addition, a moment-based Doppler shift estimator is derived as application.
