Abstract
The coupled cavity waveguide (CCW) is a linear array of equally spaced local defects, situated within an otherwise perfect photonic crystal (PhC). The purpose of this work is to study the propagation in a CCW that consists of two semi-infinite different uniform CCW situated in series. This combined CCW can be viewed as a single CCW with property discontinuity occurring at the passage from micro-cavity numbered by k = 0 to that numbered by k = 1.
