Abstract :
A multiple meander strip monopole antenna is presented. The structural feature of multiple meandered vertical strip enables the antenna to achieve both broadband characteristics and physical compactness. The bandwidth of the antenna for N=5 ranges from 2.9 GHz to 10.85 GHz with a radiation element volume of 14×14×14 mm3. The proposed antenna also exhibits good omnidirectional radiation characteristics over a wide frequency range.
