Abstract :
In the present work a novel Gaussian beam antenna is presented. The antenna is based on a half of an open resonator structure with a metallic grid placed at the section of the resonating structure. A simple equivalent circuit to describe the antenna input impedance is derived. Results from full wave simulations are presented and discussed.
