Abstract
In this paper, a novel method is presented to derive a boundary condition to terminate the finite difference/finite element (FD/FE) mesh for two-dimensional (2D) electromagnetic wave scattering problems by perfectly conducting cylinders. We have combined the present method with the FD/FE method to solve 2D scattering problems and obtained excellent numerical results.
