Abstract :
The paper reports a simple yet complete analysis of electromagnetic scattering and transmission behavior of periodic arrays of rectangular cylinders with general material properties. Results are presented for the reflection and transmission coefficients of gratings of perfect electric conductors (PEC), lossy conductors, and dielectrics. Comparisons are made with previously published results which show excellent agreement, further validating our numerical approach.
