Abstract :
This paper describes the application of the methodology of genetic programming to automated design of the control programs for CNC (computer numerical control) machine tools for thermal metal cutting. The designed set of algorithms and programs is intended for automated design of optimal trajectories of closed paths in a bivariate area given by a technological map of cutting. The results obtained give a reason to believe that application of artificial intelligence technologies in CAD will allow to effectively solve the NP-complicated problems of discrete continuous structure.
