Abstract :
In the given work, the reasons of the superconductivity orientation of electric power industry are presented. The advantages of the application of such equipment in comparison with the traditional analogs are shown. The possibility of using superconducting current limiters for the restriction of short-circuit currents is considered. The advantages of using superconducting current limiters with a superconducting screen collection of thin rings are briefly analyzed.
