  • Abstract
Losses are one of the factors that influences power and energy cost. To account the cost directly to the power station, one has to know the portion of losses, which is related to generating system units (power stations, purchased power). The calculation of power transportation losses can be done when making an estimation of the system´s normal condition. To do this, it is necessary to use a special matrix, in which the relational portion of currents which run from every generating unit will be accounted. One of the ways of accounting the losses of power transmission from generating units is by the regression analysis of data received in active operation. The method was worked out and the regression models system for all generating models was gained for one of the operating electricity supply entity. The method is based on the following states: (1) the zone of every station impact on net mode is defined relating on min and max net modes data; (2) the generation and load are varied in one specific zone; (3) the results of calculation are formed into regression equation; (4) the experience data received reflect high accuracy of gained links (R2=0,9). The forecasts are balanced at the last stage. So, the commercial component of power losses related to every generating unit is suggested to be calculated like that.
