Abstract :
It is shown that the usage of the boilers with a vortex furnace is one of the most perspective ways of improving efficiency and "ecological safety" for low-grade fuels combustion on power plants. Vortex furnace constructed by Golovanov N.V. was chosen for detailed analysis of the technological parameters, the wing strengths of the vortex furnaces were confirmed by the researches: efficiency of combustion and low level of nitrogen oxides emissions for various fuels, compact configuration, improved aerodynamic characteristics of the flow in the furnace and maneuverability of it.
