A wide-band 1 GHz DCO core is designed in a 0.5 micron CMOS process, this architecture is suitable for digital wireless and cable transceivers. As crystal-based-programmable-delay cells CBPDC control its dominant propagation delay, reduced the oscillator frequency thermal drift and jitter
