Abstract
Cavities with single and double microwave gaps are components of numerous generating and amplifying microwave devices. Usually energy exchange processes in these gaps are considered in a small-signal approximation, which yields analytical relationships for electron conductance and efficiency. The purpose of this work is to study induced currents, electron conduction, and efficiency of energy conversion in gaps without imposing restrictions on AC voltage amplitude.
