Abstract :
Continuous-media traffic has rigid delay constraints and how to reasonably define and describe node-state is a challenge in a QoS based packet-switched network. In this paper, the node-delay´s probability density function (PDF) is treated as the node-state. Normal distribution is adopted to describe PDF. Analysis and simulation show that normal distribution is a simple, achievable and reasonable description.
