Abstract :
In this paper we propose two adaptive power control algorithms suitable for WCDMA downlink transmission, which are on the basis of conventional power control algorithm, site selection diversity transmit power control (SSDT) algorithm and multiple-SSDT algorithm [N. Takano and K. Hamabe, Oct. 2001]. According to the combined Eb/N0 and system load, the proposed adaptive SSDT and VRT can reduce system interference while maintain the MS´s quality of service (QoS) requirement. The simulation results show that under heavy load condition these two improved algorithms have better performance than the conventional power control algorithm and SSDT.
