  • Abstract
    In this paper, we present recent results of miniaturised EBG surfaces using a double layer configuration. The application of a compact EBG surface to enhancement of a mobile terminal antenna is demonstrated with measurements. The application of AMC and EBG surfaces to a low-profile high gain planar antenna is also described and recent results are presented.
